I Am...

I am fun and friendly
I wonder why we have 9th grade
I hear the wind
I see the clear ocean
I want to play college soccer
I am fun and friendly
I pretend that nothing is ever wrong
I feel happy
I touch a soccer ball
I worry about others
I cry about losing someone
I am fun and friendly
I understand peoples feelings
I say a smile sets everything straight
I dream about happy things
I try to be positive
I hope to be a good friend
I am fun and friendly

My Holiday

My holiday was really fun! Its not that I did a lot, but for some reason it was very enjoyable! My moms birthday was on the 23, so (as a tradition) all my brothers and I went to our cousins house for a sleep-over while my parents went out to eat and see a movie. So that was fun!

Then it was Christmas! I got an iPod radio dock, and a new coat. We then went to my grandmas house to see all of my other cousins.
A couple days later, I went to the mall with a couple of my friends. We had fun! Then we went sledding.

There were many memories made, and I cannot wait to school to end so I can make so many more!!

Utopias

I think that utopias can be both good and bad! Let me explain my answers.

On the good side, there are no injuries, there is no war, there is no fights, and there is no problems. For example, when Jonas saw all of his friends running around playing war and shooting each other, he felt sad because none of his friends knew what it felt like to experience pain like Jonas had. So it is food that they have a perfect society because everyone is more happy because they don't experience pain, but there is a bad side to it.

The bad side is quite simple, Even though, its not fun to feel, everyone needs to feel it. Pain. No one is the utopia society has ever felt pain. It can be good and bad! Pain is good when your having a fun time with your friends, and you fall and slip or something. You all start laughing, but you are still in pain. Since you are laughing so hard, its a good kind of pain. One that you know will get better. A type that you enjoy and love. A type that you want to come back.

So overall, I think that there can be a good and bad side to living in a Utopia society. But personally, I would much rather not live in one. (:

lyrics

I have decided to post some of my favorite lyrics from some of my favorite songs.

My Little Girl (Tim McGraw)

Gotta hold on easy as I let you go
Gonna tell you how much I love you
Though you think you already know
I remember I thought you looked like an angel wrapped in pink so soft and warm
You've had me wrapped around your finger since the day you were born

You beautiful baby from the outside in
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again
Go on, take on this whole world
But to me you know you'll always be, my little girl

When you were in trouble that crooked little smile could melt my heart of stone
Now look at you, I've turned around and you've almost grown
Sometimes you're asleep I whisper "I Love You" in the moonlight at your door
As I walk away, I hear you say, "Daddy Love You More"

Your beautiful baby from the outside in
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again
Go on, take on this whole world
But to me you know you'll always be, my little girl

Someday, some boy will come and ask me for your hand
But I won't say "yes" to him unless I know, he's the half
That makes you whole, he has a poet's soul, and the heart of a man's man
I know he'll say that he's in love
But between you and me
He won't be good enough

Your beautiful baby from the outside in
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again
Go on, take on this whole world
But to me you know you'll always be, my little girl

Farmers Daughter (Rodney Atkins)

Well I heard he needed some help on the farm
Somebody with a truck and two strong arms
Not scared of dirt and willin' to work
till the sun goes down
So I pulled up and said I'm your man
I could start right now and we shook hands
He said the fence needs fixin',
the peaches need pickin'
And the cows need bringin round

Chorus:
I was haulin hay, I was feedin the hogs
and that summer sun had me sweatin like a dog
So I cooled off in the creek
then it was back to work in the daggum heat
I was cussin' out loud, thinkin bout quitin'
Lookin' back now I'm sure glad I didn't
Cuz just when i thought it couldn't get no hotter
I caught glimpse of the farmer's daughter

She was just gettin' home from Panama city
she was all tanned up and my kinda pretty
When her eyes met mine
I was thinkin that I would sure love my job
as the days got shorter our talks got longer
the kisses got sweeter and the feelings got stronger
so we'd hop in the truck and get all tangled up
every chance we got
we were down by the river all night long
when the sun came up I was sneakin' her home
and draggin my butt to work
with the smell of her perfume on my shirt
I'd be on the tractor she'd be on my mind
with that sun beatin' down on this back of mine
Just when I thought it couldnt get no hotter
I fell in love with the farmer's daughter
we got married last spring
Woah and there ain't no better life for me

I'm still haulin' hay and feedin' the hogs
and that summer sun has me sweatin' like a dog
so i cool off in the creek
and she brings me outta glass of sweet ice tea
I'm on the tractor and shes on my mind
and I can't wait till its quitin' time
and just when i think it can't get no hotter
I come home to the farmer's daughter
Yeah the farmer's daughter

My List (Toby Keith)

Under an old brass paperweight is my list of things to do today
Go to the bank and the hardware store, put a new lock on the cellar door
I cross 'em off as I get 'em done but when the sun is set
There's still more than a few things left I haven't got to yet

Go for a walk, say a little prayer
Take a deep breath of mountain air
Put on my glove and play some catch
It's time that I make time for that
Wade the shore and cast a line
Look up a long lost friend of mine
Sit on the porch and give my girl a kiss
Start livin', that's the next thing on my list

Wouldn't change the course of fate but cuttin' the grass just had to wait
'Cause I've got more important things like pushin' my kid on the backyard swing
I won't break my back for a million bucks I can't take to my grave
So why put off for tomorrow what I could get done today

Like go for a walk, say a little prayer
Take a deep breath of mountain air
Put on my glove and play some catch
It's time that I make time for that
Wade the shore and cast a line
Look up a long lost friend of mine
Sit on the porch and give my girl a kiss
Start livin', that's the next thing on my list

Raise a little trouble, laugh 'til it hurts
Put an extra five in the plate at church
Call up my folks just to chat
It's time that I make time for that
Stay up late, then oversleep
Show her what she means to me
Catch up on all the things I've always missed
Just start livin', that's the next thing on my list

Under an old brass paperweight
Is my list of things to do today

Anyways... Make it a good day, or not, the choice is yours! :O)

My Hobbies

Well, since I am kind of stumped on what to do for my first blog post, I guess I will start from the top. My hobbies. Well, I love soccer. Let me rephrase that. Soccer is my life. It seems like I have no life anymore because I am also out doing futsal, indoor, trainings... There always seems like there is something to do. But, I also love to cook. I have had an obsession about cupcakes lately and that's all I want to make. I have a house full of boys so anything that is made always gets eaten within a couple of days. Or hours. Depends on what it is. I also love to sew. My favorite things to make are flowers and headbands. Even though I give almost all of them away for friends presents and such...

I'm really not sure on what else to put... I guess I could say some things about me.

I'll start with my name. Laken. I have 5 wild brothers in my family, I love sports, and I love life.

I guess that's all for now...

So Long Folks!
